Well, there's another election done. Obama is now the President elect. It has been said over and over what an historic event this is. I suppose it is and will be for many generations to follow. I know that I don't agree with all the things he has to say and plans to do, but at the same time I'm amazed at the procedure....the democratic procedure that lets millions of people have a say in the way they want their country to go. That's what makes America strong. I was raised to be patriotic...to respect the flag and what it stands for...to put my hand over my heart when the national anthem is played and to stand when the flag is presented. I had the wonderful opportunity to live in Peru for 18 months, during my youth. I grew to love those people as my own family, and at the same time I loved my own country of America even more. My experience help me to see and appreciate all of the great things we have in this country. It is our right and duty to now keep it safe and to keep it free. I am a believer in prayer and hope that we will all say an extra prayer or two for Mr. Obama, his family, and his associates. Let keep America great!
